Quartz crystals scattered over purple fluorite, the quartz color is locally smoky or amethystine. This location has been collected on and off for decades depending on activity with the highway exposure. Back in the 1960s, this is the type of material that was found, there was another find this summer that produced similar but different specimens. Malkin collection.
