KEARSARGE LODE, OJIBWAY MINE, LAKE SUPERIOR COPPER DISTRICT, KEWEENAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN
Medium chocolate brown group of copper crystals with no point of attachment. The forms are combinations of cube, tetrahexahedron and twinning on the spinel law. This is a very fine copper from the Ojibway Mine and really is more reminiscent of one of the fissure mines to the north like the Cliff, Phoenix or Central. Medium cabinet and one of Mr. LaBonte's best coppers in this size range. No faults. 5 x 6.5 x 11 cm. Paul LaBonte Collection.
